THE Beatles sold more than 450,000 albums and over two million individual songs in the week since their music appeared on Apple's iTunes, Billboard said Tuesday.

Billboard said the best-selling album in the United States was "Abbey Road" and the best-selling song was "Here Comes the Sun."

"Here Comes the Sun" was number 54 on the iTunes list of the top 100 best-selling singles on Tuesday followed by "Let It Be" at number 60, "In My Life" at number 74, "Come Together" at number 90 and "Blackbird" at number 97.

"Abbey Road" was number 17 on the list of the top 50 best-selling albums on iTunes followed by the "White Album" at number 25 and "Sgt. Pepper's Lonely Hearts Club Band" at number 27.

"The Beatles 1967-1970" was number 30 followed by "The Beatles 1962-1966" at number 40, the 149-dollar complete "Beatles Box Set" at number 42 and "Rubber Soul" at number 43.

Apple's iTunes began selling the music of the Beatles on November 16 after years of tortuous negotiations between Apple Corps, the Beatles' company; EMI Group, their record label; and Apple, maker of the Macintosh computer, the iPod, iPhone and iPad.

農村孩子大多會做“木拉虎”，所用材料到處都是，先擇一塊乾燥的老竹片（竹片必須得是三年以上的，而且根部的最好。）用小刀整齊地截取一約五厘米長、三厘米寬的一塊，先在鬆軟的石板上磨光滑。這可要花去半下午時間，等四邊摸得平滑了，再找一根長鐵釘，在竹片中間橫向鑽兩個小孔。這一步有些費事，因為小孩子大多力氣小，而父親最是不屑於幫忙的，再說他們有太多農活，沒空，央求還會招來責罵。最好是能找到母親冬日里納鞋底的方錐，手柄是木的那種，用起來才不會把手弄出血。

穿孔很費事，但都能找到捷徑，童年的創造是無窮的，等做飯的時候，找一根細細的鐵絲，放進灶膛裡，等鐵絲通紅了，拿出來，在早已畫好位置的竹片上一烙，就會出現一個黑黑的小孔。

小孔鑽好了，就趁母親出坡的時候，找到她納鞋底的麻繩，偷偷地剪下一段（母親知道了大多會罵人。）從小孔裡穿過去，打一個結，“木拉虎”便算做成了。

小伙伴湊到一處，都從褲兜里掏出“木拉虎”，雙手拉住麻繩，一緊一放，麻繩便擰在一起，中間的小竹片飛快地旋轉起來，發出呼呼的風聲，威力可不小。

女孩子一見男孩子玩“木拉虎”，早跑開了，怕受欺負。其實男孩子也不敢把轉得飛快的“木拉虎”往人身上靠，那肯定會彈起一個包的。

三五個孩子拉著“木拉虎”，叫著，跑著，四處尋找可以下手的東西，院子旁邊的樹葉可就遭殃了，一碰上，就給打得稀爛。一個下午過去，院子邊的樹葉，沒有一片是完整的了。

“木拉虎”唯一的不足，就是麻繩擰不了多久就斷了，這當然難不倒小伙伴們，每人兜里都藏著一圈麻繩呢，不到一分鐘就換好了，重新加入到虐待樹葉的行列。

記得有一次，幾個小伙伴把鄰居老奶奶一田埂的南瓜葉子全攪碎了。傍晚收工回家，老奶奶坐在田埂上哭罵起來。撞了禍的我們早逃開了。

後果當然很嚴重，這天晚上，無一例外，每個小伙伴的屁股蛋子都和父親的竹板子有了一次親密的接觸，而所有的“木拉虎”，都給從衣兜里搜出來，統統扔進了灶膛，化為灰燼。

現在每每想起，耳旁除了“木拉虎”呼呼的風聲，便是那夜僕躺在床上的狼狽樣子，火辣辣生疼的屁股蛋子，讓人無法入睡。
